Keeping your water stones flat is an essential aspect of their performance which is often overlooked. Zen Wu's precision diamond plate is the best solution on the market to get your water stones completely flat. The plate is 18mm (~3/4”) thick aluminum alloy base precisely milled on all six sides and chamfered on all edges
dimensions: 300 x 85 x 20mm (substantially larger than standard flattening stones)
12µm (< 0.5 thou) flatness tolerance
The main surface features a 240 grit diamond matrix for flattening water stones comparable to that from Atoma and much longer lasting than standard electroplated diamond stones such as those from DMT.
The flat underside is perfect for a DIY sand paper lapping plate or a strop.
