Our Story

Alasdair Davidson was born from a deep rooted belief that the way we craft things matters as much as the end product. As a passionate woodworker myself I founded Alasdair Davidson Fine Tools with the aim of sharing the joy and experience which comes with crafting something truly by hand. We are passionate about preserving the timeless art of woodworking craftsmanship and bringing you the best tools at fair prices..

Community

Community is a large part of what makes the woodworking so enjoyable. We are more than just a store and a large part of our purpose is to build a community of woodworking enthusiasts dedicated to the art and craft of woodworking. We currently provide tools for use at the Melbourne Guild of Fine Woodworking and will be looking to assist other local workshops in spreading the joy utilising quality hand tools. 

We have several workshops and demonstrations coming up later in the year and will be building a series of educational resources for all skill levels.
